The Value of a Mentor

I really like the positive and enthusiastic approach that Penelope Trunk follows in her post: You need a mentor now, here's how to get one

I wish that I had found a mentor early on, in one of my many careers. Some nice advice here from Penelope on how to find one.

I thank you for the link about mentoring. As I prepare once again to participate in the Widener School of Law Mentoring Program, I am refreshing my mentoring goals and developing my coaching skills. Much of my approach is listening, and remembering what it was like for me as I went through law school, and then coaching them to do a better job of it than I did.

Good to hear, Larry. :)

Just having someone to bounce ideas off can make a world of difference to someone just starting out.
